Mark,

Thanks for linking to my presentation. I did record the audio and video of the session and just haven't yet had the cycles to do some post-production and upload the session. I hope to do so in the next couple of weeks and can post an update when the session is online.

Thanks,
Dan

Thanks for this. VoIP security is important that people tend to forget how it can help them. Presentations will provide proper knowledge and decision-making in relation with VoIP security.

FHF-Safety

The trend to VOIP telephones is hitting the industrial marketplace as well. Plants are looking at installing VOIP phones to increase plant safety and productivity. My company sells FHF phones from Germany...my question for you is, do you have any experience with customers deploying VOIP Industrial telephones? Is there any security risks I can warn them about?

Mark Collier

Thanks for the post. What protocol are the phones using? Proprietary or SIP? Are these fixed line or wifi phones? I don't think there are any risks unique to these phones, versus other IP phones.

Adt Reviews

I don't think most people really care too much about VoIP security. My take though (and I have said it efore), its not about VoIP/UC-specific security.
