Superior? I hope we did not claim that. ;) The purpose was just to create an easy to understand and simple categorization of VoIP threats, attacks and vulnerabilities. We did not even try to cover all aspects of the VOIPSA taxonomy. The reason we mentioned VOIPSA was to draw the attention of readers who want more details to go and study the excellent work of VOIPSA further.

I would be happy to provide an overview of the presented categories if someone is interested, and does not want to buy the book! You can also find that in most of my VoIP presentations since 2003.

PS: And definitely what we drafted was not a taxonomy. A taxonomy stands for a classification where no single threat can be categorized under two classes.
